Four arrested for murder of SSGC medical officer

Suspects had left the body of Dr Shah at Civil Hospital and fled

Police have arrested four persons, including a woman involved in the kidnapping and murder of the medical officer of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).

According to the police sources, on July 7, SSGC Medical Officer Dr. Rahm Ali Shah was brought to Civil Hospital by the kidnappers in a private ambulance for treatment. When the death of Dr Shah was confirmed, the kidnappers left the body and fled.

On July 7, the case of Dr Shah’s kidnapping was registered in Ferozabad Police Station by his son Syed Mehar Ali Shah.

According to the FIR, Dr Shah had left home at 7pm on July 6 and at 7:36pm, he called his friend and sent his last location, and then the mobile phone was switched off.

Mehar Ali stated in the FIR that they started searching for Dr Shah when his phone did not respond for hours.

He further stated that Dr Shah’s car was found parked in Surjani Town with the help of the car tracker company and taken into custody by the police. On July 9, the relatives of Dr Shah were asked to come to the Edhi Morgue to identify his body.

According to the police officials, Dr Shah was killed by hitting him in the head by a stick or some other heavy object.
