PTI approaches ECP for bat symbol

Application submitted after party chairperson's approval

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday submitted an application to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the allotment of election symbol.

According to Express News, the PTI has approached the electoral watchdog seeking bat as their symbol.
The application was submitted after the approval of the PTI chairman to get the desired symbol for the upcoming election.

It must be noted that the commission is approached, before the polls, with such requests as the law permits the individuals or parties participating in election to apply for their desired symbol.

However, the bat, signifying the party chief’s affiliation with cricket, was the most expected option for the party to go for.
