HYDRABAD:

Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has stressed the need for the people of Pakistan to unite against the politics of hatred, particularly in the aftermath of the events of May 9.

While addressing a press conference on the first day of Eidul Azha at his residence, Rawal House, he directly blamed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for sowing seeds of hatred and carrying out propaganda against the army.

Regarding the military trial of the suspects involved in the May 9 rioting and vandalism, Memon stated that such trails are mandated by the Constitution of Pakistan. He praised the army for its restrained response to the attacks on its installations, aiming to avoid bloodshed and not play into the hands of conspirators.

Memon accused PTI Chairman Imran Khan of attacking the country itself, rather than targeting specific institutions or individual military officers. He emphasised that those who vandalised army offices and residences should not go unpunished.
