'All reservation offices to be closed on Eidul Azha, 33% discount on tickets'

The Pakistan Railways has started running special trains on the occasion of Eidul Azha, where there is a lot of rush of passengers at the stations across the country, including the Lahore Railway Station, as the people seem excited to celebrate auspicious occasion with their relatives.

According to a PR notification issued on Monday, all reservation offices will be completely closed on Eidul Azha.
The next day will also be closed from 8am to 2pm after which, the PR will work as per its normal working hours.

To celebrate Eid with their loved ones, foreign nationals are returning home via trains, due to which, only passengers could be seen on the platforms of the Lahore Railway Station. Some women and girls had henna on their hands.

On the special instructions of Federal Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Eid special trains have started running from Monday. Two trains will run before Eid and one after Eid.

“Everyone is eager to celebrate Eid with their families due to which there is a huge rush of passengers on the platforms of Lahore Railway Station,” the notification added.

Due to a huge rush, passengers were being allowed to enter the railway station building after a rigorous search.
The PR has given a 33% discount on tickets for all passengers due to Eid.
