Unknown motorcyclists flee after shooting at three members of same family

HARIPUR:

Armed men on a motorcycle shot and killed a man and his son in the suburbs of Ghazi on Tuesday.

Police said that they also shot and injured the deceased’s other son and fled after committing the crime.

Police said that as per the initial investigation, the shooting took place over an old enmity.

Police have registered a case and started further investigation.

The deceased were identified as Dilawar Khan and his son Zahidullah. Khan’s other son who suffered injuries was identified as Irfanullah, said the police, adding that the incident occurred when they were on their way home on a motorcycle.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to Ghazi Hospital. The family belonged to Bajaur.

Two CNG stations sealed

The Haripur district administration has sealed two gas stations – Turk CNG and Kashmir CNG – while arresting truck drivers who were filling gas in cylinders that would then be transported to Punjab.

Officials said they received information on the illegal transfer of CNG from the two stations, after which a special team under the supervision of the additional assistant commissioner (II) raided the two stations late at night and caught the truck drivers red-handed.

The district team was accompanied by the additional SHO of the City police station and a raiding party.

The truck drivers were handed over to the police and they were nominated in the first information report.
