LWMC sets up control room for cleanliness drive

1.2 million bags to be distributed among citizens as part of Eidul Azha cleanliness plan

The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) inaugurated its operational control room and released its plan for sanitation arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eidul Azha by holding a press briefing at LWMC Head Office on Tuesday.

Local Government Minister Amir Mir, Housing Minister Syed Azfar Ali, Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Lahore Rafia Haider DC attended the ceremony as chief guests. CEO LWMC Babar Sahib Din briefed the guests on the newly-established operational control room. After the inauguration, all guests participated in the press conference regarding the Eidul Azha cleanliness plan.

Addressing the media, Minister Mir stated, “We have made reforms to the grass root level for providing the facilities at every nook and corner of the city.” In order to ensure the proper disposal of waste, 1.2 million bags will be distributed among citizens.

All LWMC staff will remain on duty during the Eid holidays to provide efficient services to citizens.
