CTP formulates traffic strategy for Eidul Azha

As many as 117 city traffic police personnel will perform duty at 11 cattle markets

The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has arranged a traffic plan to keep the traffic flowing in and around the cattle markets and in the city on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

According to the plan, as many as 117 city traffic police personnel will perform duty at 11 cattle markets.

The district administration has allowed cattle markets at 11 places in the Rawalpindi district, including Bhata Chowk near Koh-e-Noor mills, Misrial Road, Gulistan Colony, Dhok Hasu, Kalyal Adiala Road, Galyana Road near Mazbha Khana, Mandira Stop Gujar Khan, Mangal Chowk near Kallar Syedan Bypass, Sakhi Sabzwari Chowk Kahuta, HIT near Sunday Bazar Timber Market Road, Taxila and near Sharif Hospital Stop, GT Road Wah Cantt.

More than 117 traffic police officers have been appointed for the convenience of people, smooth flow of traffic and implementation of a traffic plan for cattle markets, while four lifters will also be available to eliminate wrong parking.

Chief Traffic Officer Taimur Khan said a comprehensive traffic plan has been prepared for the access the buyers to the cattle markets. He said the citizens will also be provided parking and other information through the public address system in the cattle markets whereas it will not be allowed to sell the animals alongside the highways.
