Not Playing Fare: Control room to check overcharging

Special squads will redress public complaints regarding overloading and overcharging for public transport

FAISALABAD: The district administration has established a special control room and complaint centre to check the trend of overloading and overcharging in public transport on the eve of Eidul Fitr. A city district government spokesperson said that the Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Mian Mohsan Rasheed will supervise the control room. Rasheed can be contacted at 0419200222 and 03006688207. Rasheed said that senior administrator Rana Habibullah will monitor the complaint centre setup at the general bus stand. He said that special squads will receive and redress public complaints regarding overloading and overcharging for public transport on the spot during the Eid holidays. He  said those found violating the notified fare list would be fined and imprisoned.
