I will continue visiting: Sara Ali Khan defends temple visit

Star doubled down on the fact that her personal beliefs are her own

Ahead of the release of their film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, actors Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal visited the Mahakaleshwar temple. Sara shared pictures from her visit on Instagram, wearing a bright pink traditional attire and offering prayers inside the temple. However, the post received some unfavourable comments.

According to Hindustan Times, during a recent media interaction, Sara addressed the negative comments and emphasised that she does not pay attention to them as long as she feels positive energy at the place she visits. The Gaslight star also doubled down on the fact that her personal beliefs were hers alone, and she would continue to go to spaces that she wishes to visit.

Speaking to the press, Sara stated, "I take my work very seriously. I work for people, for you. I would feel bad if you don't like my work, but my personal beliefs are my own. I will go to Ajmer Sharif with the same devotion with which I will go to Bangla Sahib or Mahakal. I will continue visiting. People can say whatever they want, I have no problem. You should like the energy of a place. I believe in energy."

Vicky also chimed in, suggesting that the media should direct these questions to the trolls rather than the individuals who are simply focused on their work. He commented, "The internet is an open medium, anyone can say anything. It's your choice where you look."

Sara, the daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, comes from a mixed family background. Besides her career, she is also known for her candid personality. Sara has been appreciated for her openness about her personal life, struggles, and journey in the film industry. Promotions for the Sara and Vicky starter are in full swing. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, directed by Laxman Utekar, hit the theatres on June 2.
