The trailer showcases a series of interrogative and confrontational conversations between Ayesha Omar and Yasir Hussain's characters. Hussain seems to shine in his portrayal of the serial killer, disappearing into the role in a way that evokes malaise. His performance exudes a palpable sense of unease, capturing the character's unhinged and twisted nature.

From the glimpses shown in the trailer, it is evident that Hussain has delved deep into the psyche of the character. As his heinous actions towards children are juxtaposed with clips of young boys running, the sense of discomfort one is supposed to feel is heightened.

Amidst a sea of male characters, Omar stands out as the tough investigating officer. Her commanding presence and determined demeanour make her a formidable force in the film. She appears to hold her own in a thoroughly masculine world, adding a layer of strength and resilience to the narrative.

The trailer's visuals contribute to the film's dark and gritty tone. The atmospheric cinematography creates a sense of foreboding, enhancing the overall impact of the story. The use of shadows and dimly lit environments adds to the suspense and unease, immersing the audience in the dark underbelly of the narrative. The trailer is accompanied by a gritty and atmospheric soundtrack that further intensifies the viewing experience. The haunting melodies and atmospheric sounds enhance the tension and create a sense of impending danger.

The subject matter of Kukri is undeniably sensitive, revolving around the crimes of a notorious serial killer. Aleeha's approach highlights the film's aim to raise awareness and protect children from abuse. The trailer hints at a balance between depicting the chilling reality of the crimes and conveying a strong message against child abuse.
