OKB, Twitterati dig out old, heartbroken tweets by the Islamabad Police Twitter account
A deep dive into our social media accounts from a decade ago and we'll all be left embarrassed with the kind of nonchalant things we used to post. It's not our fault – oversharing was the 'cool' thing back then. But imagine the capital city police department to have posted things that dare not surface again.
However, actor Osman Khalid Butt loves an expose. Thanks to an anonymous Twitter user, the Ehd-e-wafa actor discovered Islamabad Police's old tweets. From cheesy Eid greetings to pool parties and live updates from a Murree vacation, not only did Butt, along with an army of Twitterati, expose Islamabad Police's old and now deleted tweets but also gave live commentary on it.
On Friday night, Butt took to Twitter and started a thread of the most hilarious tweets. "Don’t know who first discovered the Islamabad Police's old (and now swiftly being deleted) tweets but thank you for your service!" he wrote.
Poets in disguise
The old tweets made Butt nostalgic for the time when Eid greetings were "full of cheese" and not "half the Oxford dictionary."
And then there were some verses on love.
And some on rain and loneliness.
Someone loved to party
For those who are into travelogues, here's a detailed log of a Murree trip.
What's a pool party without some swimming?
There's TV recommendations too!
