Hazara Division Commissioner Aamir Sultan Tareen Wednesday said that access to land revenue records is the legal right of every citizen and digitisation of the land record will eliminate the chances of tampering.
The high official expressed these views at the inauguration ceremony of the Haripur Tehsil Service Delivery Centre.
According to a statement, he also inspected the newly constructed tehsil building and the old one with revenue officers, public representatives, and media persons.
“The purpose of setting up the service delivery centre is to bring transparency in the matters of revenue records and provide revenue records easily to every owner under one roof with one window service.”
He said with the digitisation of land records, unauthorised changes in revenue records have become impossible.
The building of the service delivery centre has been completed at around Rs32.66 million.
On the occasion, Haripur Tehsil Database Manager Muhammad Naeem, while giving a briefing, said that there are a total of 217 settlements in Tehsil Haripur, out of which 122 have been made online. He said a tehsildar and gardawar will be present at the service delivery center around the clock.
