Singers Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are ready to love again it seems! Reports of a budding romance between the singers have been strife ever since the duo was spotted being intimate with each other during multiple dates in New York City – and now, according to Page Six, Malik and Gomez are “officially” a couple.
As per reports by Entertainment Tonight, Malik was seen out and about with Gomez “holding hands” and “kissing” while walking around SoHo in New York City on Thursday. A waiter, an eyewitness to Gomez and Malik’s lovefest in the restaurant, detailed how she saw them together.
"Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurantgoers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date,” she told the publication.
Neither the Pillowtalk crooner nor the Only Murders in the Building star have publicly commented on the dating rumours, however, they do follow each other on Instagram. Malik, for his part, only follows 18 people in total on the photo-sharing app.
Malik’s ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid has also given a green light to this budding affair. A source close to Hadid told Us Weekly that the model has “moved on” and has no problems with Malik’s new love life. “Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating. As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to [their daughter] Khai, she’s fine with whoever he goes out with,” they said.
Hadid dated the former One Direction singer on and off for seven years before their split in 2021. The duo, who share a daughter Khai, broke up after an alleged altercation between Malik and the supermodel's mother Yolanda Hadid. They, however, have remained amicable co-parents since they called it quits and appear to have started new chapters in their respective romantic lives.
