The Balochistan government is developing two fish harbours at Ormara and Jiwani for which work is in progress.

This was stated by Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo as he listed development initiatives undertaken for Gwadar district.

The package includes initiatives to improve education, health infrastructure, highway connectivity, fisheries, water, and electricity. The government has allocated hefty funds for the construction and repair of classrooms in schools, the building of hospitals and health centers, and the availability of clean drinking water.

The CM highlighted that the GDA Hospital in Gwadar has been handed over to Indus Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the country, providing free-of-cost modern treatment facilities with top-quality doctors and paramedical staff.

He said this while talking to people who called on him from different areas in Gwadar.

The CM said that government was implementing various projects to provide maximum facilities to the general public and under this policy Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Hospital had been handed over to Indus Hospital.

“Indus Hospital enjoys a high reputation in the field of social services and health in the country. Now all the high quality and modern treatment facilities of Indus Hospital Karachi are available free of cost in GD Hospital Gwadar which is a big change,” he said.

He said that this treatment facility was the first and only of its kind in Balochistan where the best doctors and paramedical staff of Karachi were available for round-the-clock service with modern medical equipment.

The CM observed that work on the new building of District Headquarters Hospital, Mir Abdul Ghafoor and Kalamati Government Teaching Hospital was also going on rapidly and as soon as the building of Omani Grant Hospital Pasni was completed, doctors and paramedical staff would also been appointed there and OPD would be started to provide public health care which was a long-standing demand of the people of Pasni.

He said that hefty funds had been allocated including Rs700 million for the construction and repair of classrooms in schools under the development package.

“Around Rs10 million has been allocated for the building of Boys Intermediate College in Pashkan, Rs140 million for the construction of multi-purpose halls and libraries and Rs365 million for improving basic health units and regional health centers in Gwadar,” said the chief minister, adding that Rs380 million had been allocated for the availability of clean drinking water, water lines, water supply schemes and water tanks.
