Backed by Jack Dorsey, Bluesky has a simple user interface with similarities to Twitter

Twitter alternative Bluesky, backed by Jack Dorsey, is now available in app stores.

The app made a debut on the app store on February 17 and since then it has been installed by over 2000 users in the testing phase. Although the app is available by invite only, the availability on the app stores shows that it might be launching soon for the public.

The app is similar to Twitter. As per reports, it has a simple user interface where an account holder can click on the plus option to create a post with 256 characters.

The app currently allows users to share, mute and block accounts. Users can also keep a track of reposts, follows, or replies through the notification tab. However other advanced settings are not available yet. Moreover, it doesn't have the dm option either.

The app is a decentralised version of Twitter and has many similarities to the platform. The app was previously available for testing to a confined set of developers in October. After launching the invite-only link on app stores, the public can join the wait list for access.

The Bluesky project was part of Twitter however, it then became a separate company last year.
