KARACHI:

Around a dozen robbers, with at least three in police uniform, stormed a private housing society in Memon Goth. They overpowered the security staff, tied them up and locked them in a room, and fled with their valuables.

Memon Goth SHO Akram Arain said that a case had been registered on the complaint of the security in-charge of the private housing society.

In his statement to the police, he said that late Sunday night, the security guard Akhtar Ali on duty informed him of the incident.

The guard told the complainant that the men accused the security staff of involvement in illegal activities. "Three accused wore police uniforms, drank alcohol and had weapons on them," the complaint stated.
