Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has submitted his reply to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the prohibited funding case.
Imran said that despite all efforts, the FIA could not bring any evidence of money laundering. “The FIA is conducting a case in which no crime has been committed,” he said. “The investigation authority has misused the powers vested in it by registering an inquiry and FIR.”
The PTI chief’s lawyer Naeem Panjutha submitted his client’s statement to the FIA investigation officer in which he has termed the case as political and baseless.
Banking Court Judge Rukhsinda Shaheen will hear the prohibited funding case on Tuesday.
Imran said in his reply that the Pakistan Democratic Movement targeted him and the PTI leaders for political revenge.
“Cases of terrorism, sedition and sedition have been framed against me and the PTI leaders. PDM is taking revenge from the PTI and me by recruiting officers of its choice in government institutions.”
He said a case was framed based on assumptions to harass him using the FIA.
