Flooded markets : Eid shopping frenzy begins in Quetta
Law enforcement agencies have adopted stringent security measures at shopping centres.
QUETTA:
Eid shopping gained considerable momentum in the provincial capital as Eidul Fitr nears. The main markets and trade centres were crowed with shoppers buying shoes, jewellery, cosmetics and other Eid festivities. The bazaars were flooded with visitors especially women and children. However, due to the dilapidated conditions of the city roads and additional vehicles coming from across the province to Quetta for shopping, roads were crammed with vehicles for hours. Law enforcement agencies have adopted stringent security measures at shopping centres and markets to avoid any untoward incidents.
