Anti-Encroachment Force official gunned down

Unidentified suspects shot and killed an anti-encroachment official, Qurban Abro, in Shadman Town on Thursday night.

According to details, the incident took place 10 to 15 steps away from an Anti-Encroachment Force mobile. Two Anti-Encroachment Force personnel were in uniform, and two were in plain clothes in a police van.

According to the police, the deceased, dressed in plain clothes, Abro, was standing a few steps away from the police mobile when he was shot at by unidentified assailants. Abro’s colleagues opened fire on the suspects but they fled. Abro’s colleagues reckon the suspect robbed the deceased, considering him a civilian because his mobile phone went missing after the incident.

The brother of the deceased official received the body from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital after the legal procedure. A case of the incident has not yet been registered. The investigation is ongoing regarding whether the incident occurred during a robbery or was an attempted target killing.
