Woman slaps traffic officer, to face charges

Incident's video shows female passenger assaulting an officer after her vehicle was stopped over an illegal turn

A case has been registered against the woman who slapped a traffic police officer at a busy intersection for stopping her car for making an illegal turn.

According to police, the car in which the woman was a passenger turned towards Sultanabad from the PIDC signal when they were stopped. The video of the incident, which took place on Wednesday, has been shared widely on social media. In the video, the woman can be seen outside her car trying to shove the policemen out of the way so that her vehicle could move forward. After DSP Traffic Ishtiaq Hussain Arain refuses to move, she shoves and assaults the policeman.

The video shows the policemen exhibiting restraint despite the belligerent and aggressive behaviour of the woman in question.

Those present at the scene intervened after which the woman got in her car and drove away.

Police officers say that a case was registered against the woman on the complaint of the DSP Traffic in Civil Lines police station.
