Petty dispute allegedly triggered accused to resort to aerial firing to terrorise family members

RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi police have booked a man for allegedly terrorising his opponent in the Gulrez neighbourhood.

According to a spokesperson for the police, a complainant told the police that the accused identified as Naeem alias Gudu along with his three accomplices showed up at his residence and terrorised his family by resorting to aerial firing over a petty family dispute.

He said they also hurled threats of dire consequences and terrorised his neighbours.

When the people of the neighborhood gathered, the accused escaped, he added.

Meanwhile, the suspects can be seen - in a CCTV footage - parking their vehicle in front of the residence of the complainant and resorting to aerial firing.

The police spokesperson also said on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused.

He said Naeem alias Gudu has a previous criminal record with the police.

A police team has been formed to arrest the accused and bring him to justice, he added.
