The Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) has announced a fee waiver for female students enrolling in undergraduate programmes to increase the female representation. According to details, only 15 per cent of the 4,533 entry test takers were female.
The university is offering admissions at its main campus, sub-campus in Umerkot and five colleges, while adding eight new degree programmes.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Dr Fateh Marri, has announced the introduction of automatic answer sheet assessment.
The candidates from across the country participated in the entry test for admissions in the undergraduate degree program, in different faculties of SAU, Tandojam, its colleges and sub-campuses here on Sunday.
The varsity’s spokesman informed that 4,533 candidates participated in the test while there were 634 female candidates as well among them.
He said the SAU was offering the degree programs in its all 5 colleges, Information Technology Center, Institute of Food Sciences and Technologies, as well as in Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri, Khairpur, in College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Khairpur and in Sub Campus Umerkot.
