Police accused for twisting facts in 24-hour crime report
Karachi police has been accused of twisting the facts and presenting favourable reports to the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah regarding street crimes that occur on a daily basis in the city.
Reportedly, a difference has been highlighted in the crime report submitted to the chief minister and the reported incidents.
According to details, the report presented before the CM stated that the citizen Mehtab was injured resisting a street crime near Shahrah-e-Faisal.
However, the citizen Mehtab was killed in resistance but was mentioned injured in the report by the Karachi police.
Meanwhile, three people were injured for offering resistance during robbery incidents but this was also not mentioned in the submitted report.
It can be easily evaluated that the Karachi Police has been preparing a favourable crime report and submitting it to the chief minister to avoid his displeasure.
So far, in the month of January, nine people have been killed during robbery incidents in the city.
Sindh Chief Minister also indicated reviewing the performance of the police officers in the meeting held regarding the increasing crime incidents.
However, Citizens are keen to know the action CM Murad will take on the killing of innocent citizens during the street crimes rising in Karachi.
