SHC issues notice to FIA Cybercrime official for non-attendance in case over uploading of obscene videos, photos

The Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Naimatullah Phalphot issued a show-cause notice to Deputy Director FIA Cybercrime for non-attendance on the application related to uploading obscene videos and photos, assigning a female lawyer Shaista Gul Advocate, to appear in person in the next hearing.

In the filed application, Shaista Gul Advocate took the stand that her ex-husband Malik Yaqoob uploaded objectionable pictures, videos of someone else on the social media and attributed the stuff to her.

Content on social media has not been removed yet.

In front of a two-member bench headed by o, a petition related to uploading obscene videos and photos attributed to a woman lawyer was heard.

Deputy Director FIA Cybercrime did not appear in the court.

The court angrily inquired, "Where is the Deputy Director FIA Cybercrime? Why didn't he come when the court summoned him?" The government lawyer informed the court that he made two calls to the FIA officials but he was informed that the director was busy somewhere and the investigating officer had gone to conduct a raid.

The court ordered Director FIA Cybercrime and Director PTA to appear in person and adjourned the hearing till February 7.
