KE, NEPRA put on notice for power outages

Area exempted from load shedding has also been included in the line loss areas

KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued notices to K-Electric, NEPRA and other parties on a petition against unannounced load shedding in Gulistan-e-Jauhar during the winter.

Appearing before a two-member SHC bench, headed by Justice Aqeel Abbasi, the petitioner’s counsel stated that K-Electric carries out unannounced load-shedding in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Block-11.

He further stated that the area is being subjected to 10 to 12-hour power outage daily even in winter.

The area exempted from load shedding has also been included in the line loss areas.
