ABU DHABI:

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Friday urged the members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) to visit Pakistan and experience the “excellent” opportunities of growing their business.

During his two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, the premier met with an ADCCI delegation and said that bilateral trade between the two countries had grown significantly in recent times.

“It is a pleasure to see a Pakistani businessman be a part of the ADCCI’s Board. This indicates the fact that the Pakistani community is playing an important role in the development of the UAE,” he observed.

He added that the vision and wisdom of its leadership had enabled the UAE to become an economic and tourism hub within a short span of time. “We consider the UAE to be an important strategic and economic partner, playing an important role in ensuring peace, stability and economic development in the region. We also believe the UAE has potential for joint socio-economic development,” said PM Sharif, stressing on the need to enhance chamber-to-chamber cooperation.

“Sending a skilled workforce to the UAE is one of our top priorities,” he said, urging the Pakistani chambers to develop new linkages in the UAE.
