KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday protested outside Sindh Assembly against the repeated postponement of the local bodies elections by the Sindh government.

A large number of PTI leaders and workers participated in the protest demonstration. While addressing the participants, PTI leaders said that their party would win the LB elections in Karachi.

PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has turned the democratic exercise into a spectacle.

He said that he had brought a copy of the Election Commission of Pakistan's order in his pocket which orders the Chief Secretary, Special Secretary, and IG Police to hold the LB elections.

According to him, PTI candidates are in the run in the LG election in 241 out of 246 union councils, while the "forced national movement" does not find candidates to field on all seats.

"Our Kaptaan has taught us to fight till the last ball," he said while referring to PTI Chairman Imran Khan. He added that the PTI would fight for the LB election till the end. "Our candidates will leave the polling stations with their results," he added.

PTI leader Ali Zaidi said that ECP has given a very clear decision that the local government election is taking place. PTI has fielded highest number of candidates in Karachi. All of them are busy in preparations. All of them are set to succeed, Zaidi said.
