Robbery bid foiled at filling station

Police recovered Rs1.4 million from the suspects who happened to be the employees of the fuel station

Pirwadhai police while responding to an emergency call foiled a robbery attempt at a filling station and arrested two suspects.

According to a spokesperson, the police recovered Rs1.4 million from the suspects who happened to be the employees of the fuel station.

He said the police swung into action soon after receiving a call on their helpline number. When the police arrived at the crime scene and made the employees of the filling station part of the investigation, the puzzle of the robbery was solved and Rs1.4m was recovered from the employees.

The police arrested the suspects and shifted them to the police station for further investigation. Investigation SSP Zunaira Azfar said that all legal requirements will be fulfilled to punish the accused. The protection of life and property of citizens is the prime responsibility of the department, she added.
