Govt plans to hire students as art teachers

KARACHI:

The Education Department of Sindh has decided to hire art teachers for talented students in government educational institutions.

Under a project by the Sindh government, drawing tests of the students will be conducted, and the qualifying candidates will be employed as art teachers in government schools.

Preliminary Training Certificate Course for appointment of drawing teacher Elementary Grade Drawing (EGD) and Intermediate Grade Drawing (IDG) examinations for the appointment of the teacher will be conducted simultaneously in the five districts of Karachi.

Reportedly, 80 students of the South district, 79 students of the Korangi distrcit will be in EGD and eight will appear in IGD. Another 186 students of the Central district will be EGD, and 221 will appear in IGD. In the West district, 174 students will take the EGD and 44 will take IGD tests. Moreover, in the Kemari district, 208 students submitted their forms for EGD. In total, 1000 students, including 727 of EDG and 273 students of IGD will appear in the tests.

Talking to the Express Tribune, the registrar Abdul Razzaq Qazi said that two centres have been established in every district where the examination will be supervised with all essential facilities.
