Citizens protest against gas outages

Protestors said it is impossible to cook food at home due to the load shedding of gas

KARACHI:

Citizens protested against the gas load shedding in different areas of the city that disrupted the traffic system and worse traffic jam was witnessed.

The protestors at the Maripur Mirza Adam Khan Road said that it is impossible to cook food at home due to the load shedding of gas, and citizens are bound to buy expensive food items in such times of inflation as not everyone can afford to buy a gas cylinder. 

The residents of the area appeal to the authorities of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to immediately stop the load shedding and ensure the supply of gas in all areas. Meanwhile, another protest was staged in Korangi demanding the authorities immediate action against gas load shedding.

Traffic police reached the spot and diverted the traffic to alternative routes, while the local police dispersed the protesters after negotiations.
