Court rejects plea to record testimonies of more witnesses

With the Naqeebullah murder case in final stages, the Sindh High Court has rejected a petition seeking recording statement of additional witnesses of FIA in the Naqeebullah murder case. The court held a hearing on the petition filed by Alam Sher, the brother of the victim in the Naqeebullah murder case, seeking to record statements of FIA officers as witnesses.

The petitioner's lawyer argued that the Special Anti-Terrorism Court should be ordered to record the statement of the FIA officers in the Naqeebullah murder case. The statement of the FIA officers is important in the case so it is very important to record the statement.

The counsel for the parties submitted that the case in the ATC has entered the final stages. Naqibullah murder case is likely to be decided in January. Statements of important witnesses related to the Naqeebullah murder case have been recorded.

These people just want adjournment in the trial. The court rejected the petition seekig to record the statement of additional witnesses of FIA. The Anti-Terrorism Special also rejected the prosecution's olea to record the statement of additional witnesses.
