Shah Rukh Khan is the only Indian star to be named in 50 greatest actors of all time

The Bollywood hotshot shares space with the likes of Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman among others

Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, is the only Indian star to have been named among the 50 greatest actors of all time in a list compiled by Empire Magazine.

The Bollywood hotshot shares space with the likes of Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman, Michelle Williams, and Christian Bale among others.

The list includes Khan's name citing some of the notable roles of his decades-long career. This includes Rahul Khanna from Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Devdas Mukherji from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, Mohan Bhargava from Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades and Rizwan Khan from Karan Johar's My Name is Khan.

The outlet, while praising the Pathaan star, wrote, "Ms. Marvel’s favourite movie star has a career that has now spanned four decades of near unbroken hits, and a fanbase of pretty much billions. You don’t do that without outrageous amounts of charisma and absolute mastery of your craft. Comfortable in almost every genre going, there’s pretty much nothing he can’t do."

The list also includes an iconic dialogue of Khan's from the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, “Everyday life kills us a little. A bomb will kill you only once.”

On the work front, Khan was last seen in a cameo appearance in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The film starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The renowned star will be next seen in Siddharth Anand's directorial Pathaan alongside Indian superstars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

The first song from the film, Besharam Rang recently received flak from the religious entities in India with many objecting to the outfits of the song, including a saffron bikini worn by Padukone.
