Police registered incident on complaint of the victim and started search for the suspect

The era of robbing citizens by bandits riding motorcycles or rickshaws is over as the robbers are looting citizens while driving luxury cars.

An alleged robber, driving a car, looted Rs350,000 from a senior citizen at gunpoint in New Karachi, within the limits of Industrial Area police station on Saturday.

The CCTV footage of the incident also came to the light. As per the footage, the alleged robber in a car stopped a citizen, Zulfikar Ali and started checking him. The footage, it was also showed that the accused pretended as a policeman as he also had a walkie-talk set in his hand.

As the citizen took out money from his pocket, the accused snatched it from him and fled from the scene.

The police registered the incident on the complaint of the victim and started search for the suspect.

Meanwhile, a man, identified as Muhammad Adnan, was injured during a robbery bid within the limits of Zaman Town police station.

The injured was immediately shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical assistance.

Police said that two unidentified robbers opened fire on the victim on his resistance.

The police were investigating the matter further.
