Mobile phones worth millions of rupees stolen

Police have started an investigation into the incident and a case will also be registered

Robbers stole mobile phones worth millions of rupees in two different robbery incidents in Rawalpindi.

The first incident of robbery took place at a mobile phone shop adjacent to Pirwadhai police station, where three armed robbers fled after stealing mobile phones worth more than Rs1.7 million. The accused held the shop owner hostage at gunpoint and made away with several mobile phones.

The second incident took place near the Ayub Park area of Morgah police station, where three persons on a motorcycle snatched mobile phones and cash from citizen Abdul Quddus and fled.

The police said that they have started an investigation into the incident. A case will also be registered.
