Jail inmates celebrates Sindh Cultural Day

On the occasion, the symbol of Sindhi culture, Sindhi cap and Ajrak, were distributed among the prisoners

KARACHI:

The Sindh Cultural Day was celebrated at the Central Jail Karachi with enthusiasm on Saturday.

A special event was organised by the Jail administration.

On the occasion, the symbol of Sindhi culture, Sindhi cap and Ajrak, were distributed among the prisoners.

In the ceremony, artists presented Sindhi songs to which the prisoners not only applauded but also enjoyed the music.

During the celebration, the prisoners also danced to Sindhi songs and congratulated each other.

Jail officers Muhammad Hasan Sohto and Karim Abbasi and other officers and staff also participated in the ceremony while the prisoners also thanked the jail administration for organising the event.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh General Secretary and GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim greeted the people of Sindh living all over the world on the celebrations of the day.

In a special public message, Sardar Abdul Rahim said that the culture and civilisation of Sindh span thousands of years and Moenjo Daro is a living example of it.
