PESHAWAR:

Two people who had been taken into police custody were mysteriously injured in the Chowk Yadgar area of Peshawar on Saturday.

Police said that Ababeel Squad of Peshawar police had taken two men into custody who have been identified as Attaur Rehman and Shamsur Rehman, residents of Din Bahar Colony. Both were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).

Police on Saturday arrested the main accused in the murder of senior lawyer of Peshawar High Court Razaullah Advocate from Lahore. The accused is the nephew of the deceased and had a land dispute with him. Police said that after the murder, the accused fled to Lahore and police, after obtaining the CCTV footage of the murder, launched a manhunt for him.

“It was discovered that the accused fled to Punjab following which police was alerted there and they helped K-P police locate the accused who has been shifted to Peshawar,” said a police official while talking to The Express Tribune.
