ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken notice of the non-disclosure of the actual value of gifts received by former prime minister Imran Khan, his wife, and his cabinet members.

According to the sources, the anti-graft body has taken notice of reports of non-disclosure of the actual value of gifts in Toshakhana. Preliminary information on the gifts received by the former premier, his wife, and his cabinet members is being collected.

There is a discrepancy between the actual value of the gifts received by Imran and his wife and the sale, sources said, adding that after collecting information regarding the gifts, government officials will be called for an investigation.

It should be noted here that a few days ago, the Toshakhana reference for the criminal case against the former premier Imran had also been sent to the trial court.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the trial court should try the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for “corrupt practices”.

It should be remembered that the electoral body had ordered criminal action against the former PM after disqualifying him last month.
