A bombproof armoured vehicle has been the center of attraction at the latest edition of international defense exhibition, IDEAS2022, which opened at Expo Center on Nov 15.
A Middle Eastern country is said to have placed orders for the purchase of these vehicles which, according to the manufacturer, can withstand an explosive device of up to two kilograms.
The armoured vehicle is also equipped with a high-definition 360-degree camera. "We have supplied 24 bombproof vehicles to the armed forces within a year while more vehicles are on the assembly line," Khalid Yousuf, CEO of the private manufacturing company, told The Express Tribune.

The company has set up its plant at Bin Qasim in Karachi. "This armoured vehicle can carry eight people besides weapons and ammunition," Yousuf said, adding that even if hit by 12 hand grenades at a time, this vehicle would remain unscathed.
"Only an explosive device of more than two kilograms could partially damage this vehicle," he said. According to Yousuf, a high-definition camera has also been installed in the vehicle, which gives the people inside a 360-degree view of the landscape for several kilometers. The firing post, which rotates at 360 degrees, is also bulletproof, he said.
The vehicle has run flats tyres, which, even if burst in a heavy explosion, can help it travel up to 50 kilometers. Yousuf further said that the vehicle is bulletproof and bombproof as per international standards and the manufacturer has acquired all certifications in this regard.
