LAHORE:

The Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser on Home and Information Omer Sarfraz Cheema has claimed that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has failed to label former prime minister Imran Khan as corrupt in the Tosha Khana case and is resorting to technical issues.

He said in a statement that Imran Khan had set practical examples of honesty and transparency in politics.

The adviser also said while addressing a seminar on the role of social media that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was the first political party to start constructive and practical use of social media to communicate its policies to its workers and the public.

He said the party’s social media team would not become a part of negative propaganda in any way.

Punjab government spokesperson Musarrat Jamshed Cheema said modern mechanisms were being evolved to inform the people about government performance through social media.

She said the responsibility of social media had increased a lot in the present era. Irresponsible media could create chaos in the society, she added
