The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) is taking effective measures to ensure optimal sanitation across the city, by tasking staff to carry out cleanliness operations in three different shifts.

According to LWMC sources on Sunday, as per the instructions of LWMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ali Anan Qamar, mechanical sweeping and washing was being conducted across the city at night, while the cleaning of commercial markets was also being ensured.

Along with the cleaning roads across the city, the washing and cleaning of pedestrian footbridges was also being carried out.

Over 300 workers and 90 vehicles were deployed for operations during the LWMC night shift.

To maintain the beauty of the city and provide a clean environment to citizens in the early morning, LWMC was conducting cleaning operations in three shifts.
