MULTAN:

The Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) installed trackers on all of its vehicles and connected them to the main portal on Wednesday, in order to ensure effective monitoring and utilization of resources during operations.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Muhammad Farooq Dogar visited the Information Technology Department and reviewed their work. MWMC officials stated that the live monitoring of vehicles was being conducted to improve service delivery.

Now, no vehicle would remain out of sight in terms of location and movement, they said, adding that if no container was lifted, the portal would identify and pinpoint it.

CEO Dogar stressed that each supervisor would be responsible for the correct utilisation of machinery and warned of strict action against drivers found violating the company’s instructions.

No vehicle would be parked during duty hours and records of distance covered by the vehicles would be kept properly, he instructed, stating that it would bring transparency in fuel consumption.
