Three Gangs Busted: Looted items worth Rs1.95m seized

The police recovered gold ornaments, two motorbikes, one car, Kalashnikov, two 30-bore pistol and electronic equipment

ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) on Tuesday busted three gangs and arrested 12 notorious criminals along with looted items worth Rs1.95 million, a police spokesman said. Out of 12 nabbed persons eight are Afghan nationals and identified as Mirbaz, Rahimullah, Syed Karim, Abdul Hadi, Nizamuddin, Sherdil, Karimullah, Abdul Wahab. Other nabbed persons identified as Mushtaq and Vikram Masih, residents of Narowal, Muhammad Riaz, a resident of Abdul Hakeem Khanewal, Khurram Ali Abbassi, a resident of Muzaffarabad. During initial investigation, the suspects confessed their involvement in 16 theft and robbery incidents in the city. The police recovered gold ornaments, two motorbikes, one car, Kalashnikov, two 30-bore pistol and electronic equipment from them.
