Police officer among three injured resisting robbers

Three persons, including a police sub-inspector, were injured in different robbery incidents as law enforcing agencies failed to curb crimes in the city.

Armed men injured a person near Fauji Foundation Hospital in Shah Faisal Colony when a bullet hit the road and then a person. The robbers ran away after robbing the injured person. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital for medical aid.

According to the police, the injured person, Muhammad Faisal, 50, son of Mushtaq, is a sub-inspector in the police department and is posted at the Police Training Centre, Sakrand.

Another person was injured in firing during a dispute near Eidu Goth in Bin Qasim area. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance where he was identified as 20-year-old Muhammad Salim, son of Ali Haider. Police are investigating the incidents.

In another similar incident, armed robbers opened fire and injured a person on his resistance near New Sabzi Mandi in the Site Superhighway area and fled after snatching cash and mobile phones from him. The injured was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was identified as 40-year-old Syed Abdul Khaliq, son of Nawab Shah.
