Imran’s helicopter makes emergency landing near Rawalpindi
Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan's helicopter on Tuesday made an emergency landing due to a technical problem near Rawalpindi district.
According to the sources, Imran was returning to Islamabad from Dera Ismail Khan when his helicopter developed a ‘technical fault’ near Adiala town of Rawalpindi district.
The PTI chief and other party leaders accompanying him remained safe during the emergency landing as the pilot showed presence of mind and averted a possible accident.
Later, the engineers repaired the fault and the flying machine was transported from Adiala town to Qasim Airbase.
Sources said that Imran Khan's helicopter will be delivered to Noor Khan Airbase by tomorrow morning. Due to the fault, the deposed prime minister left for his Bani Gala residence by road.

The PTI chief had visited Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s DI Khan district to distribute relief cheques among the flood victims.
Last month, Imran’s plane returned to Islamabad soon after the takeoff due to bad weather conditions, PTI leader Azhar Mashwani had said in a clarification.
The clarification came in response to some media reports claiming that the former premier escaped a plane crash after it developed some technical faults mid-air as he was heading towards Punjab’s Gujranwala city to address a public gathering.
