The accused named in the mysterious killing of property dealer Muhammad Sohail in Defence Phase VII have not yet been arrested. The investigation police, however, have arrested a security guard.

The investigating officer has so far detained a security guard Mohammad Bakhsh for questioning. Saddar Division SP Zahida Parveen told The Express Tribune that the challan has not been submitted to the court yet, the investigation is going on and the police will reach a conclusion very soon.
She said that police are investigating the murder case from all aspects. The CCTV camera footage of the incident has also been obtained.
The police are also considering the video statement of the deceased in which he had said before his death that if anything happens to me, Moeez Khawaja and Amir Waheed should be arrested. Both of them grabbed my property worth crores of rupees by forgery and now they are threatening to kill me. Amir Waheed pretends to be a government officer.
The deceased's uncle Mohammad Saber told The Express Tribune that the investigating officer is not cooperating with him. He said, "Police arrested one accused Murad, who killed my nephew. But, next morning when we went to the police station, we found that Murad was released by the police by taking huge bribe.
He said that the investigating officer is weakening the case. "We shall meet the DIG South to request the investigation to be transferred to another investigating officer. My nephew was in the property business for many years."
He has appealed to IG Sindh, Karachi Police Chief and DIG South to contact Interpol for the arrest of accused who have fled the country.
