Health department releases statistics related to Sehat Sahulat Card

More than 2.3 million people in Punjab have received free medical treatment facility through Sehat Sahulat card.

Under the direction of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the Department of Specialised Health Care and Medical Education has released the statistics related to Sehat Sahulat Card.

The people of Punjab have received free medical treatment facility worth more than Rs50.73 billion. Provincial Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said 794 government and private hospitals have been selected to provide free treatment facility to the public of Punjab through Sehat Sahulat Card.

The people of Punjab are getting free treatment facilities from 189 government and 605 private hospitals through Sehat Sahulat Card.

More than 489,000 people have gotten free dialysis facility through Sehat Sahulat card. So far more than 51,000 people in Punjab have got the facility of free coronary angiography through Sehat Sahulat car card.

So far in Punjab more than 44,000 women have had normal delivery and more than 187,000 women have got free cesarean operation facility. Imran Sikandar Baloch said that so far more than 33,000 people in Punjab have undergone free hernia surgery. So far 32,655 people in Punjab have done facility of chemotherapy has been obtained through Sehat Sahulat Card.

Provincial Health Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch further said that so far more than 25,000 people in Punjab have got free facility of angioplasty through Sehat Sahulat Card and so far more than 146,000 people have undergone free eye surgery.

Baloch said “we are trying to provide maximum free treatment facilities to the people of Punjab through sehat Sahulat Card.”

He said dengue patients are also now getting free treatment facilities from selected government private hospitals of Punjab through Sehat Sahulat Card.
