LAHORE:

Seeking a comprehensive plan to improve government hospitals with collaboration of philanthropic organisations, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced, "We will collaborate with the Indus Hospital for heart and bone marrow transplant."

Inaugurating an emergency block at Indus Hospital, she said the Air Ambulance Service is achieving significant success in saving lives.

The chief minister said, "Patients come from all over Pakistan for treatment in Punjab, where up to 90% free medicines are being provided in hospitals."

She also directed the authorities concerned to ensure the construction of ramps in buildings to facilitate special persons.

The CM was informed that about seven million patients had benefited from free, quality treatment under the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Trust.
