A man died and another was injured in a traffic accident in Korangi allegedly caused due to the negligence of a speeding water tanker driver. A car, a motorcycle and three rickshaws were severely damaged in the collision with the tanker.
The people at the spot caught the driver and handed him over to the police. According to details, two people on a motorcycle were seriously injured after a tanker hit them at Godam Chowrangi in the Korangi area on Thursday morning.
As soon as the accident was reported, rescue workers reached the spot and shifted both of them to the hospital. Rescue officials said a young man died while being taken to the hospital, identified as 19-year-old Fahid, son of Shakir.
The deceased was a resident of Korangi, while the other youth, who is believed to be around 30 years old, is undergoing treatment at the hospital in a state of unconsciousness. However, no information about him could be obtained. The victim's condition is critical, and doctors are trying to save his life.
