ACP to hold art exhibition to help flood victims

Arts Council Karachi also donated Rs20 million to the flood relief fund

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has announced to hold a unique art exhibition on 30th September in which renowned sculptors and painters across Pakistan have donated their creations.

The exhibition also includes works by Sadiqin. Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah announced this in a press conference at Haseena Moin Hall on Thursday. On the occasion, Muhammad Ahmed Shah said that there is a terrible situation of floods in Pakistan. Even when there was an earthquake in Sindh in 2005, the Arts Council played its role.

He said that this flood is more terrible than in the past. Arts Council Karachi immediately donated Rs20 million to the flood relief fund while trucks filled with rations bags are being sent to different areas of Sindh.

For the rehabilitation of the victims in the future, the Arts Council will also work is holding an art exhibition to help the flood affectees.

Similarly, a concert is on the way too, where various singers including Asim Azhar, Aima Baig, Young Stunner, and Natasha Baig will perform.

The concert will be held at Karachi Gymkhana, Shah said. He said that the commissioner Karachi is also in touch with us, and law enforcement agencies will also make the security foolproof for the exhibition.
