‘Over 2.25m people get free treatment through Sehat card’

Dengue patients can also now get free treatment facility from empaneled government and private hospitals of Punjab

On the instructions of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the Department of Specialised Health and Medical Education has released the statistics of the Sehat Sahulat Card.

As per the statistics, more than 2.25 million people in Punjab have received free treatment through the card. So far, the people of Punjab have received free treatment of Rs49.6 billion from facility.

So far in Punjab, more than 42,000 women have had normal delivery and more than 180,000 have got the facility of caesarean operation free of charge.

The statistics showed that more than 32,000 people have undergone free hernia surgery through Sehat card and so far more than 31,000 people have received free chemotherapy facility.

So far more than 141,000 people have undergone free eye surgery in Punjab. More over dengue patients can also now get free treatment facility from empaneled government and private hospitals of Punjab through this card.
